» Lassen Medical Supports Local Career Development through Jumpstart Program
LMG is please to announce that we are proudly participating in the Jumpstart program for 2009. Jumpstart is a program that is federally funded by the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act and is administered by the Job training Center of Tehama County.
The specific goals of the Jumpstart program are to:
A. Provide meaningful work experience to Tehama County young adults, ages 16 24, through on-the-job experiences and positive adult mentoring.
B. Encourage young workers to develop and demonstrate positive work readiness habits and other job skills that will enhance their future employment opportunities.
C. Stimulate the economy by assisting local employers with temporary labor costs and providing young adults with an expendable income.
Lassen Medical Group has asked 4 young adults to assist us in relocating our medical records to an off site storage facility. They will be available to us from July 6th to August 6th, 2009.
Please join us in welcoming and providing an encouraging, meaningful experience for these young workers.
