» St. Elizabeth awards Dr. David Dahnke, Physician of the Year

Red Bluff, CA - St. Elizabeth Community Hospital awarded the Physician of the Year to David Dahnke, MD. Each year St. Elizabeth Community Hospital honors a Physician of the Year in recognition of demonstrated excellence in caring for patients in a manner consistent with the Mission and Philosophy of the Sisters of Mercy. The selection is based on nominations from employees, board members, fellow physicians, volunteers and Sisters. Based on these nominations, a selection committee chooses a physician who exemplifies the values of the organization, is active in leadership and who exhibits excellent clinical knowledge and skills.

Dr. Dahnke has been a member of the St. Elizabeth medical staff since 1995. He attended Chicago Medical School in North Chicago, IL, and graduated on 6/30/1991. He completed his internship at Methodist Hospital of Indiana, Indianapolis, IN from 07/01/1991 to 06/30/1992 and completed his residency at St. Joseph's Hospital & Medical center in Phoenix, AZ from 7/1/7992 to 2/28/1995. Dr. Dahnke is currently serving on the Medical Staff Executive Committee, as the past president which is an elected position.

Dr. Dahnke is an Internal Medicine Physician with Lassen Medical Group and enjoys family, photography, hiking, birding, and skiing. As is the case with most physicians, he balances a very busy medical practice with family time. He and his wife, Kathy, enjoy their two daughters Jennifer and Alexandra.
